Students in 1st through 4th grades utilize Google Chromebooks daily for classwork and homework.  We are proud to integrate current technology throughout our school from Kindergarten through 8th grade.

Students are grouped into multiage classrooms where they work with an educator for more than one year.  Grade levels have been removed for identity purposes in the classroom and students are recognized as a unit name.  Grades 1 & 2 are the Superkids and Grades 3 & 4 are the Challengers.

Activities in this setting are structured with open-ended possibilities that allow students to work at their own level of challenge and at their own pace.  This model addresses the needs of a wide range of learners, from linguistic and logical/mathematical high flyers to those who need special help; diversity is valued for the richness it brings to the classroom community.

Older or more experienced students act as mentors for the younger, trying out leadership skills but also reinforcing their own skills by teaching them to others.  The classroom community builds over time since each year there are returning students to pass on the class routines and traditions.  Educators have more than one year to learn the best ways to work with a student and the long-term relationship that develops with parents is equally rewarding.

The school day begins at 7:50 a.m. each day and ends at 2:45 p.m.  Drop off and pick up is at Door #12 at the rear of the building.
